Common questions

How do I crush something?

Type whatever's on your mind — a worry, a grudge, a thought you can't shake — or tap the photo button to pick an image. Then hit Crush and watch a black hole pull it apart. It takes about thirty seconds.

Where do my blast videos go? How do I share one?

Every crush is recorded as a short video on your device. Tap Share after the blast to send it wherever you like. By default the video hides your words or photo behind a block, so it never reveals what you crushed.

Want the original text or image to show in shares? Turn on "Show what I crushed in shares" in Settings.

No sound, or the sound seems off?

  • Check that sound is enabled in Settings and that your device isn't on silent.
  • DeSpiral's audio is designed for headphones — deep sub-bass and spatial decay land best that way.
  • If the app went quiet after returning from the background, fully reopen it so the audio engine resumes.

Haptics aren't firing.

Make sure haptics are on in Settings and that system haptics/vibration are enabled for your device. Some battery-saver modes disable vibration.

My daily reminder isn't showing up.

Reminders use local notifications. Turn the reminder on in Settings, then allow notifications for DeSpiral in your system settings. If you change the time, the next reminder is rescheduled automatically.

Is anything I crush stored or uploaded?

No. There are no accounts and no servers. Your text and any photo you crush are processed on your device and never uploaded, and your original photo stays untouched in your library. See the full Privacy Policy.

I have a feature idea or found a bug.

We'd love to hear it. Email [email protected] — feedback genuinely shapes what we build next. A review on Google Play helps too.

Billing or restoring a purchase.

Purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play. To restore, use the restore option in the app's store/settings, or reinstall while signed in to the same store account. If something still looks wrong, email us with your order details and we'll sort it out.
